HOMEWORK: due Friday or the following Monday
Read each night for 5-15 min
with your child, or to your child. Do at least one page of the homework per night. Please practice one column of Spelling words per night. Please have your children take their time and put forth their best effort on this.

Writing Workshop: Launching the Writing Workshop. Establishing Rules and Routines.
Math: Establishing Daily Routines. The Calendar, Working in Small Groups, Exploring Math Materials
Science: Unit 1- How Scientists Work
Social Studies: Unit 1- Rules and Laws
SPECIAL NOTES AND ACTIVITES:
Tuesday, September 13th is Picture Day! Students must wear their uniforms.
Tuesday is also Curriculum Night at 6:30 pm. We will discuss what your child is learning throughout the school year, what a typical day in Kindergarten is like, and answer any questions or concerns you may have for your child.
Friday: Spelling Test on the “et” word family words, in your child’s homework packet. Please make sure that you child practices a column of Spelling Words each night, rather than doing them all in one day. Daily practice will ensure that your child is learning the words. Also, it will help them have much neater penmanship, and they will take their time.
